Accommodations

Door County, Wisconsin is a beautiful natural area with many options for short-term stays. Here are some of our favorite options:

Call Gordon Lodge at +1 920-839-2331 and request to book a room for the Hart-Camardella wedding to enjoy our block discount. Note that guests staying on Gordon Lodge grounds are required to stay for a minimum of three nights (Friday through Monday). If you choose to stay in one of the GL hotel rooms or lakefront cabins, you can enjoy the crushed limestone hiking/biking trails, free bicycle rentals through the front desk, the lakefront pool, and free kayak rentals to paddle on the water. You can find pictures of the accomodations on the Gordon Lodge booking site, but you must call for booking to receive the discount.

We absolutely love camping in Door County, and Peninsula State Park is our absolute favorite place to do it. Affordable at just $20 per night for a campsite, you will get to enjoy the sounds of the forest with easy access to Nicolet Bay Beach, hundreds of miles of biking and hiking trails, and even have access to basic showers and toilets walking distance from your campsite. Bookings can be made on the Wisconsin DNR website (Make sure to select Peninsula under “Park”). You can also sign up to receive email notifications of open spots if the dates you would like are fully booked when you check. There are other campgrounds in the Door peninsula as well, so don’t fret if Peninsula State Park is booked up! Dogs are welcome at the campground but keep in mind that you won’t be able to leave your furry friends at the site when you head to Gordon Lodge for the ceremony and reception.

We know that camping isn’t for everyone, and some of you will want to stay offsite and explore more that the Door peninsula has to offer. Luckily, the region is packed with unique and beautiful places to stay while you enjoy your time with us. Check out doorcounty.com/stay to find many, many more places to rest in between partying. You can filter by accommodation type, location, and amenities. We recommend you stay in the Sister Bay, Ephraim, Fish Creek, or Bailey’s Harbor areas to make your drive to Gordon Lodge short and easy.
