Washington Island

Take the ferry to Washington Island on Sunday to enjoy the Fall Fun Fest and Cider Pressing Party at the Washington Island Farm Museum! There will be food, drinks and activities for the whole family to enjoy. Washington Island is home to Nelsen’s Bar and Bitters Club, the lavender fields, and the Stavkirke historic viking chapel as well as beautiful trails and sandy beaches. Bikes travel free on the ferry, and there are loads of trails around the island.

Fish Creek

Historic Fish Creek boasts some of the most beautiful hiking and biking trails on the peninsula inside Peninsula State Park as well as top-notch shopping and entertainment, all nestled in the tiny, quaint town. Fans of the theater should book tickets in advance to catch Steel Magnolias at the Peninsula Players, a gorgeous performing arts center tucked away in the woods. Create some beautiful art (and give the kids something fun to do) at Hands-On Art studio. Nostalgia-seekers can catch a double feature the Skyway Drive-In Theater, too. Don’t forget to pick up a package of Pic at the snack bar to keep the mosquitoes away!

Egg Harbor

Zoom to Egg Harbor for fish boils and frights. Learn about the history and folklore of the Door County area on one the many Door County Trolley tours that leaves from the town and grab a drink at One Barrel Brewing when you’re done. For a no-frills wine tasting experience, check out Harbor Ridge Winery on the weekend and enjoy some live music as a part of your experience.

Sister Bay

Sister Bay’s long, public waterfront park beckons you! Stroll down the picturesque downtown area and stop here and there for clothing, snacks, drinks, gifts and more. Wave hello to the goats at Al Johnson’s and stay for the lingonberry Swedish pancakes. For folks travelling with the fur kids, there is an excellent huge dog park in the area as well. Say hi to your dogs from Moonie!
